Ferrian Reynaldi, also known as ADAPTASI, is a Bandung- based photographer whose practice centers on architectural and interior storytelling. Initially trained in management, his trajectory into visual practice is shaped by a sustained curiosity toward spatial design, particularly the emotional and behavioral dimensions of interior environments. This background informs a distinctive approach to image-making that prioritizes not only how spaces look, but how they are inhabited, felt, and experienced.

For Sonar Ukiyo, ADAPTASI developed Tatami Dreams: Where the Light Falls Soft, a campaign that explores the property as a meditative architectural vessel. Grounded in the quiet philosophy of Japanese design and the subtle poetry of everyday rituals, the project reflects Ukiyo’s ethos of stillness, softness, and intentional living. Through cinematic restraint and documentary sensitivity, the campaign follows traces of human presence– light passing through shoji screens, textures of wood and linen, and gestures suspended in quiet moments.

Rather than presenting the space as a fixed interior, Tatami Dreams frames Sonar Ukiyo as a living sequence of experiences, where architecture becomes emotional structure. Each frame is composed as part of an unfolding journey– moving from entrance to interior, from exterior light to interior shadow, capturing the gentle dialogue between body, space, and time.
